Eligibility criteria

AS OF OCTOBER 14, THE FUND CHANGES

ESFUF PROVIDES PRODUCTION SUPPORT TO CINEMATOGRAPHIC WORKS INITIATED BY A UKRAINIAN DIRECTOR.

The eligible projects are long-length cinematographic works intended to be first released in theatres, belonging to the genres of fiction, documentary or animation.

Beneficiaries are production companies established in ESFUF contributing countries having a coproduction contract with a Ukrainian production company the Ukrainian production company is considered as the co-beneficiary.

• The budget of the fund in 2024 is 1.5M €, with 880 000 € allocated towards production support.
• The amount of the production support is capped at 200 000 € for fiction or animation and at 90 000 € for documentaries.

The previous ESFUF calls aimed to support projects in finalisation and in development. They were open on February 22nd, 2024, and closed in the spring (March 15th for finalisation and April 5th for development). The supported projects can be found here.

On October 14th, 2024, the first ESFUF call for production support is launched.

The deadline to apply is Monday, November 4th, 2024 (23:59pm CET).
