Marina, a 35-year-old PhD researcher of Soviet industrial heritage living in France, returns to Ukraine to learn more about her father, a miner who committed suicide by jumping into a blast furnace. Marina’s unexpected discoveries about her father cast doubt on the history of the whole town and put all the Soviet values it stands on at risk. If Marina restores the historical truth, she will lose the last piece of evidence of her father’s life.
